Thanks for joining me! My name is Jan, and I’m a fellow traveler of yours in this journey we call life. As a child, I loved reading and fell in love with the Narnia series by C.S. Lewis. I spent many hours searching the backs of wardrobes, touching paintings on the wall … looking for a way to get into Narnia. Alas, that magical portal never materialized. Until I wrote ‘Julu’ and created my own magical portal to Jirvania, the land of imagination. The Great Library stands in the heart of Jirvania and on its shelves – every book ever written. This magical place is never closed. Anyone can visit, and step through to experience a book first hand. Jirvania is home to a myriad of magical creatures, so don’t be surprised if you run into a few characters you already know. In fact, I’m heading there right now. I want to join C.S. Lewis and Mark Twain in the Great Reading Room for hot chocolate (with marshmallows) and listen to them debate life’s great mysteries. Sigh. I love it. I also need to catch up with one of my main characters, Jack Lemoine, and find out what happens next in Chapter 26 of ‘Jirvania’ – Book Two in the Julu Series. It seems my muse faery is so busy harvesting story pearls in the fields of Jirvania (which also happens to be where all stories grow), she forgot to come back and tell me what to write next. See you in Jirvania!
